Shipping Process Explained: A Guide for Hoopi Users

Hoopi Shipping Options

Hoopi offers multiple shipping options to cater to different regions and preferences. Below are the commonly used couriers in Malaysia and Singapore:
  • Malaysia: Pos Laju, J&T Express, DHL eCommerce, Ninja Van, City-Link Express, GDEX
  • Singapore: SingPost, Ninja Van, Qxpress, J&T Express, DHL eCommerce

Does Hoopi Provide Logistics Services?

No, Hoopi does not have its own logistics services. The decision is left to the seller. While the seller can technically adjust the shipping fee, the buyer are not obligated to pay any additional charges that were not stated in the original description.


Shipping Flow via Courier

  • Upon finalizing your purchase, the seller will use third-party logistics platforms such as Pos Laju, J&T Express, SingPost, or other common couriers to deliver your purchase.
  • Sellers will generate airway bills from the courier platform to facilitate a hassle-free shipping process. Every order includes tracking, offering both the buyer and seller added reassurance while the package is en route.
  • Every order is unique, and shipping costs will differ depending on the parcel's volumetric size, weight, packaging and destination. The courier will determine the parcel weight based on either actual or volumetric weight (WV); whichever is higher.
  • Use the courier's volumetric calculator to check your parcel's weight.

Expectations of Shipping Fees

We recommend setting average shipping fees to accommodate buyers from East Malaysia and Singapore. Here are some general guidelines to keep fees transparent and competitive:

  • Malaysia (Domestic):

    • Tracked Shipping: RM 10 - RM 15
    • Express Shipping: RM 20 - RM 30
  • Singapore (Domestic):

    • Tracked Parcels: SGD 5 - SGD 10
    • Express Shipping: SGD 15 - SGD 25

Fees may vary based on the courier service used (Pos Laju, J&T Express, SingPost, etc.) and the item's size or fragility. Sellers should ensure that shipping fees are clear in the listing, especially for cross-border shipments. Higher shipping fees will be investigated further to be transparent and fair to buyer.


Shipping Timeline

Malaysia (Local Shipments):

  • West Malaysia: 1-5 working days after the parcel is dropped off or picked up by the courier.
  • East Malaysia: 3-7 working days after the parcel is dropped off or picked up by the courier.

Singapore (Local Shipments):

  • Within Singapore: 1-3 working days after the parcel is dropped off or picked up by the courier.

Malaysia to Singapore (Cross-Border Shipments):

  • Transit Time: 5-10 working days, depending on the courier and customs clearance.

Combine Shipping

Can I Combine Orders from the Same Seller?
Yes, buyers can request the seller to combine multiple items into a single shipment to pay the shipping fee only once. However, sellers can combine shipments only once per buyer. Any subsequent orders will be processed as separate shipments.


Drop-Off Shipping

How Does Drop-Off Shipping Work?
Drop-off shipping involves the seller delivering the parcel to a designated drop-off location or meeting the buyer in person.

Steps for Drop-Off Shipping:

  1. Communicate and Liaise: Agree on a date and location for the meeting.
  2. Deliver the Parcel: Hand over the parcel to the buyer during the meeting.
  3. Request the Drop-Off Code: Ask the buyer for the unique code to confirm delivery.
  4. Input the Code: Enter the code on the order detail page to mark the order as complete.

Important Notes:

  • Buyers should collect parcels within 7 days.
  • Buyers must share the Drop-Off code upon collection via Hoopi Messaging.
  • Buyer please take note orders will auto-complete 10 days after the seller delivers the parcel. Be vigilant on tracking your 

Packaging Standards

To ensure items arrive safely, follow these guidelines:

  1. Individually Wrap Items: Use bubble wrap to protect fragile items, securing each one with tape.
  2. Use Protective Material: Fill empty spaces in the box with padding (polystyrene, foam, shredded cardboard, etc.).
  3. Secure the Box: Use strong tape to seal the seams and corners of the box. Add a "fragile" label if necessary.
